Configurable Document Management

Documents can be stored in either a familiar folder-based environment or uploaded en masse and tagged with metadata as unstructured collections, depending on the company or project's requirements

All previous versions of documents are stored with their own audit trail, such as when the document was revised, by whom and what metadata was changed. The version format can be configured to be consistent with a company's or project's preferred standards

Documents are sent to users (or even external non-registered recipients) with specific tasks set, e.g. requests to information (RFI), for comment (redline / markup), or for information only

Users (and their companies) uncompleted tasks are highlighted on a series of single / multi project dashboards

 

Email Notification

Option to receive instant / delayed notification by email of activity relating to projects, keeping users up to date without having to log in

 

Desktop Check-in / Check-out

Maintains list of recently edited documents and prompts user to upload changes back onto the system whether working online or offline

 

MS Office (Inc. Outlook) Integration

Save files directly to BC Six within MS Office*, without having to save them locally or first close the file

 

Project Emails and Discussions

Share and manage information through informal collaboration tools such as discussions, project emails, databases and project websites

 

View, Compare and Markup Files

Users can view and comment on many file types without having the native application such as AutoCAD or MS Project installed using the optional integrated viewer. Files can be visually compared by using side-by-side comparisons, dynamic fade overlaying, or using automatic difference highlighting

 

Advanced Search and Report Tools

A variety of search options, using powerful keyword language for rapid searching, makes finding information simple. Quick / common and advanced search facilities can be configured into regular reports on project progress or saved / shared for future use

Access Rights

Your Administrators control access to workspaces, folders and even individual documents. Users can be added as individuals, companies and role-based distribution groups ensuring a high degree of security
