End User Training

A standard training course for new users is a one-day hands-on course (max. 10 delegates per day) which is designed to ensure that trainees understand why they are using BC as well as how to perform key functions. Some of those key features include:

  • Adding documents - using the Drag and Drop uploader, via the web interface or from predefined document templates
  • Assigning metadata from the project-defined options to newly created documents, either individually or in bulk
  • Editing documents - concentrating on the Save from Windows feature and the benefits of the File Monitor but also revising documents manually
  • Changing the structure to introduce new folders or moving documents between locations
  • Harnessing BC's powerful search engine
  • Issuing documents to named recipients with pre-defined tasks (RFI, for approval etc)
  • Locating and responding to tasks which have been assigned to you
  • Viewing and commenting on documents and drawings using the integrated viewer
  • Using the online discussion tool

Who should attend?

Often, a company does not have to send every single user on training. We encourage organisations to instigate an internal 'pyramid' support structure where key users assist other users in problem-solving and getting the best out of BC.

The duration for this course is 1 day. However, if required, we are able to separate the standard agenda and run 2 half day sessions. This would mean if you wanted a staff member to learn about document management but not issuing they would not need to attend the second part of the day.
